WEEKEND EVENTS
What to expect...
We have a few events planned, but you're all here in Paris (some of you for your first time)...GO EXPLORE! Don't get us wrong, we want to see every one of you the whole time, but don't wait up. If you're dying to do to Disneyland Paris, by all means, GO! If there's some awesome restaurant you want to try or something amazing you've heard about (first, tell us - we want to know too), but also...GO!
We are keeping it casual and want everyone to love the city we love. We will throw a bunch of ideas into the "To do + To Eat" page so you can get a good idea of awesome things to do/see/eat that AREN'T Versailles/Arc Du Triumphe/Eiffel Tower (even though the Eiffel Tower is the prettiest place on the planet, you'll see that anyway).
WELCOME DINNER
Saturday, September 1st
Darocco
7p
6 Rue Vivienne
75002 Paris
We will welcome everyone who made to Paris for the 1st to a nice dinner at some fancy restaurant so we can drink and talk about how bad our flights were and how difficult it was to tell the Uber driver where to go. It'll be a blast....
Price: €50-100/person depending on how much you're drinking
GIRLS VS. BOYS
Sunday, September 2nd
Bank of the Seine + several bars
9:30 in the Evening
Drinks at various places and ending at the Eiffel Tower
You heard that correctly, we're splitting up families like Trump at the border, only instead of putting everyone in camps, we are going to bars to drink.
We will start out on the bank of the Seine to have some wine, cheese, and baguettes, before we all split up and head to the bars. Once we're all liquored up, we will all meet up and head to the grass in front of the Eiffel Tower to drink wine together while we watch the pretty lights on the tower and maybe listen to some French guy play an accordion...

WELCOME TO PARIS
If you haven't already, it's time to find a place to stay. HLD+BB will be staying at LES BAINS for the duration of the trip in LE MARAIS area. We have setup a booking code for LES BAINS to give you 15% off public pricing
(Code: LUXFIGLIO).
We are recommending people stay near LE MARAIS if possible, otherwise close to the venue. There are a few great options below which are close together. We have added a little note from us, as well as a review from a reputable publication to give you an idea of what to expect. Otherwise, there are also some awesome AirBnb's nearby.
LES BAINS
The artist's hotel. Great rooms, great internet, great restaurant, great bar/club downstairs, GREAT concierge, plus there's an underground pool (!?). This is definitely our favorite place we have stayed and we will be staying there the dates surrounding the wedding.
BOOKING CODE for 15% off: LUXFIGLIO
Located close to Les Halles neighbourhood, in the centre of Paris, Les Bains was established in 1885 by the noble Guerbois family as a bathhouse frequented by French novelist Marcel Proust. In the 1970s, its new owner, noted physician Maurice Marois, rented the venue to two young antique dealers, who turned it into a hotspot for Paris’ elite, hosting legendary shindigs for the likes of artist Andy Warhol and rapper, Puff Daddy. Les Bains has now been restored to its former glory, with contemporary additions – courtesy of local interior architecture firm, RDAI and designer Tristan Auer – that act as a gracious backdrop to the hotel’s dramatic original details.

HOTEL NATIONAL DES ARTES ET METIERS
HOTEL NATIONAL DES ARTES ET METIERS
Super cool hotel with a super cool bar. The guy who did this designed Silencio, an underground Paris club brought to you by David Lynch.
Following the success of Hotel Bachaumont, fashion magnate Samy Marciano has finally opened his second property in a Hausmannian chunk on Rue Saint-Martin, where neighbourhoods Sentier and Le Marais meet. Designed by Raphael Navot – the man behind David Lynch’s Club Silencio – the 70-room bolt-hole takes subtle cues from the nearby Musée des Arts et Métiers, an institution dedicated to invention, science and technology before mass industrial production.

HOXTON PARIS
HOXTON PARIS
Designed by the dudes who design Soho House, if you're into that sort of thing...
Set over six buildings – including a listed 18th century hôtel particulier – CEO Sharan Pasricha and his team have transformed the crumbling site into a chic Parisian bolthole with a dash of signature East London flair. Monaco-based Humbert & Poyet have dressed the 172 guestrooms with local accents such as Jean Prouvé furniture, while the outdoor patio, speakeasy bar and Rivié brasserie have – like the previous properties – been kitted out by London-based Soho House group with its signature shabby chic aesthetic.

WHEREVER YOU'RE GOING, WALK THERE!
We have found that the best way to enjoy Paris is to be outside, be present, WALK, and explore. There are so many great side-streets and passages in Montmartre, so many great little cafes in Les Marais, great shopping near the Place Vendome, and sight-seeing around the arc du triumph and the Eiffel Tower. The best feeling is finding a new spot...and when you find it, tell us, we're suckers for a good recommendation. Here are a few of our favorite places...
BARS
MOONSHINER
5 Rue Sedaine
75011 Paris
You enter this spot by going through a small restaurant, then opening the door to their storage refrigerator, past the kegs and hanging ham hocks. When we went, there was Frank Sinatra on the record player and the bartenders were having almost TOO much fun experimenting with drinks...which were AWESOME. Get the "Numero Trois".
PRESCRIPTION COCKTAIL CLUB
23 Rue Mazarine
75006 Paris
A French speakeasy where everyone drinking there is American? Grab a seat at the bar and watch them work. Drinks are insane, vibes are awesome. We recommend getting the La Dureé.
LAVOMATIC
30 rue René Boulanger
75010 Paris
Don’t show up with laundry to this laundromat, or the line of people outside will stare at you (trust us, we’ve seen it). You enter the bar through an old laundry machine. It’s super hipster, small, but super fun, great drinks, local vibes.
SILENCIO
142 Rue Montmartre
75002 Paris
This is David Lynch's bar that takes you several flights underground and lands you in a dizzying maze of mirrors, caverns, and little rooms. It's an experience, if you can get in! Go before midnight.
CAFES
CAFE DE FLORE
172 Boulevard Saint-Germain
75006 Paris
This place is an institution! Traditional French cafe, traditional French food, the classic experience if you're in St. Germain and looking for food. As with any cafe, sit outside. We recommend the croquet madam.
LE CAFE MARLY
93 Rue de Rivoli
75001 Paris
This is a great place to spend an afternoon sitting and working...with an amazing view of the Louvre. They make a great Aperol Spritz and their lunch menu is pretty big...plus, WIFI!
RESTAURANTS
DERRIERE
69 Rue des Gravilliers
75003 Paris
This place has an amazing terrace, multiple floors, and a different look for each room. There's even a hidden smoking room that looks like a man-cave which you enter through a wardrobe…what’s with France and weird entrances?? 10/10.
ROBERT ET LOUISE
64 Rue Vieille du Temple
75003 Paris
This is straight up traditional French in a tiny restaurant. Wait for a seat on the main floor. There is one fireplace where they cook all of the food and the meat is unbelievable. Plus, it's on one of our favorite shopping streets in Paris. Get the rib meat for 2.
VICTORIA
12 Rue de Presbourg
75016 Paris
For those missing that “LA experience”, here comes Victoria! It’s really amazing food and a great atmosphere - staff is awesome as well. It turns into a somewhat of a night club at night, so plan on seeing 40 dudes in identical suits walk in around 10pm.
CIEL DE PARIS
Tour Maine Montparnasse
56ème étage Tour Maine Montparnasse, Avenue du Maine
75015 Paris
You've seen the photos on our instagrams, this place is sick. The view is unreal! The restaurant itself is SO close to being great, the food is...alright, but who cares, THE VIEW! It's like seeing the Eiffel Tower from a helicopter. It looks way closer than it appears in the photos as well.
RESTAURANT AMOUR
8 Rue de Navarin
75009 Paris
Get a seat on the terrace - you’ll feel like you’re having dinner in the middle of the jungle. This is a great spot with great vibes, food, drinks - everything.
HIGH TEA
HOTEL LE MEURICE
Restaurant Le Dali
228 Rue de Rivoli
75001 Paris
Those aren't fruits in the photo - those are PASTRIES. The chef at Cafe Le Dali at Le Meurice is world renowned and having high tea is nothing short of an adventure. Book ahead because it gets full fast - it's worth it! (Hannah's favorite thing ever...)
Help! Help!
So, we spent all of our money on the wedding and we would love your help in sending us to this great tropical destination. Literally, this one. In the photo. That's the precise spot we want to go back to. We took this photo the day we got engaged, we want to spend a week back there, staring at the ocean (not working?!), and writing thank you cards to each and every one of you. Anyone who knows us, knows what we really want (need) is a solid vacation.
